The Beauty Of Well Styled Side Swept Bangs

Many of today’s most popular hair styles include side swept bangs; however, there are certainly many other hairstyles that are just as fashionable. In fact, the hairstyle you choose should ultimately be something you choose because it is right for your face and not solely based on what everyone else is wearing. Even the most fashionable and trendy hairstyles will not work for everyone, so be sure to consider your own features and how you can best accentuate your own natural beauty.

Another factor to take into consideration is the care and maintenance of the hairstyle you choose. Picking a hairstyle that requires a great deal of maintenance and work is not for everyone. If you are the type that wants to towel dry your hair, run a comb through it and run – the style you choose needs to be a very casual and easy care cut. However, some women are more than willing to dedicate a considerable amount of time in creating a great looking hairdo that accentuates their features and looks fantastic.

Even a hairstyle that features side swept bangs can vary tremendously from one person to the next. You can choose a deep sweep across the forehead, even covering part of one eye, this can help give more length to a very round face; or, you can choose a more shallow sweep that will help provide more width to a longer face structure. Regardless of the exact style you choose, there are some basic styling principles that you will want to keep in mind. For example, when blow drying your hair, you want to work your bangs in the opposite direction of the way you normally wear them. So, if you want your bangs to sweep down and across the right side of your forehead, begin by blow drying them down and across your forehead to the left side. Never blow dry your bangs upwards if you are trying to achieve that amazing side-swept look.

Once you have dried your bangs almost completely, you can bring them back to the side you normally wear them on. The next step is to use a flat iron to help style the bangs in a downward and side swept motion. Again, you want to be careful not to create too much lift at the hairline or you will lose that graceful sweeping style across your forehead. You can control the amount of bend at the end of your bangs by finishing with the flat iron slight turned under. Additionally, you can also use the flat iron to control how deep the sweep you create.

Some people find that having their bangs sweep down and across part of one eye is too distracting and irritating; they prefer to keep their bangs above their eyes. This is easy to create by using a shorter sweep and bringing the bangs across the forehead at the height that is comfortable for you. Be sure to finish off your beautifully styled side swept bangs by giving them a little spritz of hair spray or styling gel to hold them in place. In fact, you do not have to spray all of your bangs; generally just the bottom edge is all that will be necessary. This will help keep your bangs looking soft and natural.
